Margaret and Eddie married on August 6th, 2023. It was hot as hell, but the sky was blue and everything was in bloom at Historic Jasmine. Margaret and Eddie decided the best way to serve their guests at an outdoor summer wedding was with pizza and ice cream. While their reception began, their guests could admire the men of Crustworthy Pizza throwing up dough and making their dinner in real time. Their color scheme was completed when their dessert arrived on four wheels. Ruby Scoops, a hot pink ice cream truck famous for their ice cream sandwiches.
While I was getting to know Margaret & Eddie before their wedding, I learned they both play the clarinet professionally. Margaret plays with the Virginia symphony and Eddie plays with the Richmond Symphony. I was immediately SO excited because I just knew their wedding was going to be a magical ensemble, and it was. Eddie surprised Margaret with composing an original song to walk down the aisle to. I am in love with little details like this my couples put into their wedding. It's an example of the many ways you can make your wedding unique and special to who you are as a couple. These two are some of the most genuinely kindhearted, sweet, and beautiful people I’ve ever had the joy of photographing. I am SO honored to have the opportunity to tell the story of their wedding through these photos.
Photographed on 35mm film, digital, and polaroid. Photographer's cut for the blog.
